Duration of internship and timings
I interned there for a period of 4 weeks, i.e from May 5, 2016 to May 31, 2016.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
First day was amazing. The office building was huge and beautiful. I fell in love with it. Why won’t I? As soon as you enter the building, there’s a Costa Coffee kiosk welcoming you. The building is centrally air-conditioned with very strict security mesures.
A friend of mine had also interned with me. Whe we reached, we were asked to wait for a while. Ariund 20 minutes later, we were called in the office of the legal head, Mr. Manish Lamba. We were very scared at first but Sir was so welcoming and soft-spoken that all our fears were gone. He asked us a few thigs about ourselves and then he introduced us to everyone in the legal team.
We had to complete some paper work as well. They needed photocopy of some of our documents. We were also issued e-mail ids from Bharti Realty. Using our personal ids was not allowed.
They have a few projects coming up in and around New Delhi. We had to work on the licenses, clearances and compliance needed for all of them.
Our days were spent reading scores of bare acts, various forms and documents. We had to check if all the Goverment rules and regulations have beeen complied with for all the projects.
Work environment and people
Everyone in the company was very professional. They were friendly and helping but serious at the same time. You won’t find anyone wasting their time instead of doing their work.
All the work you do would be appreciated by the legal team. If you don’t understand something, you can ask them repeatedly till you understand.
The best thing about the internship was that every person from the legal team took initiative to make us learn.
Whenever we got some free time, someone would be telling us about various things and aspects of legal as well as corporate world. And the amazing lunch! And unlimited supply of coke, coffee, tea, etc. Who wouldn’t love it?
The only bad thing was the travelling part.
Always give your best in an internship. If the recruiters will see curiosity in you, they will be more than happy to teach you.
Any Other Thing
You have outlets like Pizza Express, Wow Momo, Biryani Blues, Subway, in the office building itself. So you can chill after the office hours.
I stayed in the college hostel because the office is near the airport and you don’t get any PGs there.
My office timings were 10:30 to 5:30 and they were very particular about it. Saturday and Sunday was off.
