First impression, first day, formalities
The office is situated in Shree Awas, L&T Building, Dwarka which is a secluded area in Delhi , but I was well aware of the area so managed to reach the Office with much ease.
First Day at Athena Law Associates was waiting to meet the Managing Partner- Mr. Pramod Kumar Rai, Ex IRS & Former Sr. Standing counsel in Delhi High Court for CBEC and there was an interaction regarding GST and about the Career.
The first impression of the office was good as it’s a well made office where the working area is typical corporate office type with individual desks for every Associate, Senior Associate whereas the Partner has individual chamber overlooking the working area.
Each Intern has to get his/her own laptop and interns are allotted the conference room to sit.
Main tasks
The team is a mixed bad regarding the experience where many of the associates are freshers and  including Senior Associate being vastly experienced.
As a result, the freshers prefer doing their work themselves and it makes it very simple for the Interns to go to the Associates personally for work.
I wanted to work from the very first day almost every associate working there throughout 2 months and I almost got work from everyone.
Athena Law Associates is primarily a taxation law firm dealing extensively with various indirect taxation laws. I got work mostly in the above areas mentioned along with research based on substantive and procedural aspect of GST law, Customs, and Excise matter.
There is generally a time frame within which you are required to submit your work which will be clarified before you get the work on hand.
Work environment, people
The Associates and the little interaction I had with the partners, I have to say as many internships I’ve done the best working atmosphere exists in this office where the associates are very humble and they make you feel very comfortable since the very first day and not a single day goes by when you see them and don’t exchange a smile.
If you are not able to do certain work allotted (which happened with me) you can easily walk up to them for a little head start and they will be more than happy to give you a lead to start your work on.
The best things and the bad things
The best thing at Athena Law Associates is the working atmosphere and the Kitchen staff who is always ready with a smile to get you a well made cup of Coffee or Tea.
Best things
Student Friendly
Good Research Work
One can interact and have fun during lunch breaks.
The Associates are super friendly and sometimes buy the interns coffee in the evening.
Saturdays are holidays.
Bad things
The only bad thing here is that the office is very small and there are no restaurants near by the office and it is very difficult to have lunch during the lunch break. The only thing will help u out is Zomato and Swiggy for ordering the food.
Stipend/month
Rs. 5000 / Month
Accommodation etc. What did you to do chill in and around the office
Since the office is situated in the residential area you will find many number of PGs and Flats near the office area. The office is situated near Dwarka Sector-12 Metro Station.
However, you can order food in the office and enjoy it in the small dining area in the office itself.
