I applied using a contact, however, you can call up the office and get details from the HR Department.
Timings? Number of working days per week?
2 weeks, 5 days a week, Monday – Friday 9:30-6:30. Sometimes, according to the work, you may have to stay till late.
Accommodation: how? Where? reviews?
I was from Delhi so accommodation was not a problem for me. For the non-residents there are PG s nearby in Sarita Vihar.
First Impression? First day? Formalities?
On the first day, we all gathered in the conference room and interacted with our co – interns.
The HR gave us sheet to fill our preferences for the team in which we want to work. We were allotted according to the preferences.
Interns were made to sit on different floors based on the availability of systems. We were required to send an official e – mail to our respective teams, introducing ourselves and letting them know that we were to work with them for a specified period.
As I was in Amarchand’s corporate team , I was allotted with a lot of research work.
I worked on matters relating to capital markets, SEBI and FEMA. I wrote a research paper on RBI’s subscription through partly- paid shares and warrants.
Work environment? People?
Associates are really helpful and are usually willing help you with work assigned. The associates are also good mentors and guide you well 🙂
Amarchand’s office itself, like I mentioned before, it is a very fancy place and makes you feel like an important corporate lawyer who can achieve anything!
Things that could’ve been better?
There is an issue with the delivery of certificates. We don’t get the certificates on time when it is required by our respective colleges.
What did you do to chill? co-interns?
The office has a pantry, where you can go have lunch. However, most interns used to chill at the Coffee points.
One should be hard working, dedicated and intellectual. There are always opportunities to prove yourself. You just have to grab them at the right time and give it your best.
