Duration of internship and timings

1 month. The timing for the firm was from 10 am to 5.30 pm. 6 days a week. Sundays were off.

However, the timings weren’t strict as I interned during the month of May which was a vacation for the Court.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

My First impression at this firm was positive, as it was the house of Advocate Jayesh B. We all call him Dolia Sir. The firm is well furnished and has a waiting arena and an associate’s room and two partner’s room.

There wasn’t any first day formality other than introducing myself to Dolia Sir and the associates in the office.

The office was fully air-conditioned with clean restrooms and is in Anna Nagar East which is very convenient as there are many food places nearby.

Main tasks

Initially, I was thinking I would be bored interning during vacation time at a firm. However, I ended being so happy of getting to know so many things at this firm.

Firstly, my job started by typing an reply letter for a case related issue and later I was allowed to write down many drafts like, reply to a re-joinder, affidavit and counter-affidavit and etc.

Secondly, I got to research and collect points for an important case which was about to be filed in the Supreme Court and the best part of that is, you get great transparency within the office.

On top of everything they recognize your efforts!

Work environment and people

The work environment is fantastic!

The associates help you so much that you will never struggle to locate anything inside the office and all the associates are very friendly and helpful.

Best things

You get to taste wonderful Tulsi Tea prepared at Dolia Sir’s home, which comes in very frequently and in the evening you get a variety of biscuits which never lets you go tired or hungry. We get to order our lunch on Saturdays which is paid by the firm.

They have very good clients and the office was busy most of the days even during the Court vacation. I got a visit to the Court with Dolia Sir, which was a great learning experience. On top of all these, they had a library which was easily accessible.

Bad things

There was no bad thing about working at Aiyar and Dolia as such.

I got Rs. 5000/-

It may depend on performance.
