Duration of internship and timings

59 days. From 19th May 2013 to 19th July 2013

Timings: full time intern- 10 am to 5 pm and then at chamber till 8-8:30 around.

As I was a part time intern I only worked at the chamber in evening from 5:30 to 9.

* This can also be an advantage as you can do some other internship during day time if you don’t want to be a full time intern.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

Its a huge and big office situated in the beautiful serenity of Kashyap Complex, Ashok Nagar

No first day formalities except a formal introduction with the juniors and you just have to submit your cv and the internship recommendation letter from your college.

If you are lucky enough you get to interact with Sir who is a simple man, down to earth and always ready to help you if you face any problem.

Main tasks

Reading case files and making notes, researching on various points of laws specially in matters of family law, Contract, Indian Penal Code, Service Law, Constitutional Law, and Right to Information act along with drafting few legal notices.

You get to attend the court proceedings if you are a full time intern with him.

Work environment and people

His son treated us like his brother and but they were very strict regarding the work environment.

The staff there to assist sir and everyone else was very helpful and you can approach to sir or his son anytime if there was any problem regarding the work or you have any difficulty regarding the task assigned.

Best things

Name and fame of sir in Jharkhand and getting to work with such a great person.

Bad things

Everything else was good except the annoying traffic sound right in front of the office.

Biggest Lessons

Had the opportunity of interacting personally with some of the learned judges and eminent personalities of Jharkhand.

Any Other Thing

You can easily get the accommodation in surrounding areas like PP compound which is 15 minutes away from his office or in Doranda, (High Court Area), half an hour away from the chamber.

Means to travel would never be a problem. As I was a localite so accommodation was never an issue with me. As I was the only intern at that time I used to enjoy the awesome samosas and tea served to you at times or you can go to the nearby Chinese and Indian food points.
