Main tasks

Visit and witness the proceedings in the courts. Prepare case briefs, rejoinders, affidavits, research on a given problem.

Work environment and people

Associates were really nice and the co-interns were very helpful and friendly. Work is given depending on the inclination and ability of the intern. Keen interns will always be alotted plentiful work.

Best things

I got to visit not only the Supreme Court of India, but also the High Court, the District Courts and the National Green Tribunal.

I gained a lot of exposure to the work that goes on at a litigation office and the lifestyle.

Bad things

No interaction with Pinky Ma’am. If you don’t already know about, drafting or research, you will not be taught or spoon-fed. So one must prepare themselves for the internship.

No stipend

Biggest Lessons

Litigation requires a lot of dedication, and commitment. There are no fixed hours for work in the life of a lawyer.

There are various PGs available around such as DelhiStay, etc. Even the Secretary, Amit, will be willing to provide contacts of pgs nearby.

Office Timings

10 am to 9 pm which could be extended depending on the work.
