First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

On the first day, I was called to Delhi High Court to visit court and proceedings. I was then introduced to everyone who was a part of that office. Everyone was polite and very interactive.

After the hearing of our case, I went to office. The place had a peaceful working environment with good infrastructure. No such formalities took place.

Main tasks

Listening legal proceedings, filing new cases & for other documents like certified copy, PFRC etc., case study, researching on various legal aspects, briefing cases and researched things to sir and some basic drafting.

Work environment and people

Peaceful work environment and helping people. Since, I am a 1st year law student, I had many doubts and used to ask them again and again and everyone there used to listen my doubts very patiently and then answer my questions.

In the ending hours every day, Sir used to call me to ask about what I did and learnt throughout the day and he gave me an environment where I could ask him any question be it a legal issue or any doubt related to my career.

Best things

Best thing, I would say was that I was never treated like an intern; it was like I was a part of that family for years.

Also, I learned so much from there like be professional as well as code of conduct, discipline and many more.

Bad things

No bad things.

A basic stipend was provided.

Biggest Lessons

I could learn to work for long hours, going to court in the morning, then coming back to office, reading case files and researching without being tired.

Being a practicing lawyer is fun as you face new challenges everyday.

Any Other Thing

If ever in future, I get a chance to work there I will definitely work there.

10 am to 8 pm
