Duration of internship and timings
May 26, 2016 – June 26, 2016
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The advocates were good and very interactive. I went to the court room and witnessed the hearings.
The court was beautiful and was divided into several buildings. No such formalities took place.
To study the cases thoroughly and give point of views on it. To act as a proxy on behalf of the counsel in front of the hon’ble judge.
To visit the court rooms and witness the hearings. Type the cases.
Work environment and people
Environment was great. People around were easy to work with and very kind. But people actually were very professional and sophisticated so sometimes it became difficult to deal with them. It actually helped me and made me a better person.
Acting as a proxy and taking next date of hearing for the cases and giving exemption application for not appearing on the date of hearing on behalf of the party/counsel.
Interns are actually not allowed to act as a proxy :(. But I managed to do it.
No stipend for a month.
It made me realize how confident I can be in life. This particular internship came into my life as a bag of opportunity and I did certain things which I could not even imagine doing so early.
I learnt how to be independent.
I learnt how to be cool and happy even when the people and the environment around you is not familiar to the ‘real you’.
I learnt how to be professional and not childish.
Any Other Thing
Internship period should be utilized in the best possible way because you never know what you can learn.
Stayed in a PG with my three other friends at Kalka ji, DDA flats, New Delhi.
9 am to 5 pm.
Timings were really relaxed.
