You can apply for a part-time or full-time internship but make sure to apply 2-3 months prior to the desired month of internship. Sir himself goes through the internship applications and the response is very prompt and you may receive a reply within a week.
The work environment is very relaxed.
Sir is very friendly and takes out time personally to talk to the interns and assign them work. He is a person with great intelligence and experience. A lot to be learnt from him.
Sir has one associate and a clerk working with him in his office. The associate is extremely helpful and friendly and helps out with the work assigned. Everyone in the office is friendly and approachable.
Interns are required to report to the chamber at 9:30 at Supreme Court of India and later on we are required to go to the office which is located in Sector 40 Noida. The office is at a walking distance from Wave Noida City Centre Metro Station.
There is quality of work with Sir. You will be exposed to a variety of works including research work, case briefing, preparing case notes, drafting of pleading like SLP’s, rejoinders, written statements etc.
You will also get the chance to attend various conferences with Senior Counsels on various cases and also witness proceedings at tribunals like NCLT and NCDRC.
One is always engaged with some kind of work in the office. There is no time to sit idle. Sir usually has three to four matters lined up in Supreme Court or High Court everyday and one is expected to know all the matters beforehand.
Sir directly interacts with the interns and assigns them work. He makes sure to give genuine and honest yet helpful feedback on the work that is presented to him. He is easily approachable and ready to give answers to any of your queries.
One should also be prepared for random quizzes on various legal topics which is followed by detailed discussions which gives clarity on legal concepts.
The work environment overall is very good. This internship is a good learning experience
Performance based stipend.
Office timings are quite flexible. One has to reach the chamber by 9.30 a.m. One can leave the office by 6 p.m. if there is no work.
