The office is located in Defence Colony, the workspace was splendid, it included sufficient space for all the working staff.

The office includes two main private rooms, two conference rooms, a kitchen and a waiting area on one level & the basement included the office for the associates, a conference room, two file rooms and most importantly the library which was well stocked with every imaginable manual and reference book one can imagine on every possible legal subject.

There were four main associates besides sir himself and also numerous other support staff. Everyone was very professional though helpful and friendly at the same time.

Duration in weeks. No. of days/week. Timings

Office is six days a week (Saturdays direct reporting to office as court closed).

Interns required to report in the Mornings 10 A.M. and after the matters are done for the day, leave for office and I used to stay there till about 9 P.M. The working hours are flexible but the more effort you put in, the more it is appreciated!

First impression. First day, formalities etc.

Even though I was nervous on the first day, yet everyone talked introduced themselves to me and helped me with the gate pass and explained a few proceedings as well.

Main tasks

There are as many as a minimum of 20 matters on most days which are divided among the associates.

The tasks include helping them on researching on certain topics relating to the matters, finding judgments, the last dated orders in the matters for the coming day, finding the points of law in the judgments, attending briefing conferences and taking notes, noting down the court proceedings and various other tasks assigned by the associates.

Work environment, people

Simply Amazing.

Best things?

Sir has an amazing way of inculcating every point that the counsels and clients suggest in a briefing and rolling it up into conclusive, substantial arguments. It was an honour to watch him argue everyday in court.

Stipend/ month: 4000

Anything else you’d like to tell

The best part was that unlike several other offices there is no hierarchy, as in you get to directly interact with every associate as well as sir himself and your efforts are well accounted for.

You are not put to work under any one associate, which is a good thing as you get a variety of work from different people and thus also get to interact with everyone in the office.
