First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
We were sent to Banda district of UP for our assignment.
Our train reached mid night at 1 am. Being a small village, me and my friend were scared at first. We went there and slept.
Next morning we woke up and went to the office talked to everyone in the office. Everyone was really friendly. Later. They gave us breakfast and later told us about our project.
Main tasks
We were asked to make a report on domestic violence to be presented to the state women commission.
We used to go to the victims of domestic violence and interview them and prepare case study.
Work environment and people
It was a backward area though the people there were really friendly.
They were more like a friend and interns were treated with respect.
Best things
You actually get to learn a lot and you can see your work actually making a difference others life.

Being my first experience of an village. I had to struggle a lot in the beginning but after a week I adapted to it.

Your hard work can actually make a difference in people’s life.
Accommodation
They provided us with both living arrangements and food facility.
Also payed for all the other expenses envolved in the work.
Office Timings
As we used to stay there for a month. We used to go to the office around 10 am and finish around 4 pm.
