The firm has a team of 3 associates and 2 partners and all of them will make you feel comfortable in the new setting . They will encourage and give you work which you probably won’t get to try your hands at in other firms .

Duration in weeks. Days of work per week. Timings.
My internship at ABS Legal, Noida was for a duration of 4 weeks. Office timings are usually 10 am-7 pm working days are Monday-Saturday but on certain days it may get extended to 9 pm if there is work pending.
Interns can leave early with prior permission and provided the work assigned for the day is complete.
First impression, first day, formalities
When I walked into the office I was called for a small talk with one of the associates , he questioned me for a while asking about what sort of work I had handled in the past and if I was quaint with drafting .
Then he told me what the firm stands for and gave me the assurance interns are not treated as third grade citizens here , every intern is treated as a part of the firm and in return they are expected to be diligent with the work handed over to them.
Then I was introduced to all the other associates, partners and assisting staff. To my surprise they already had work prepared for me in a file, which kept me engaged for a week .
The firm is very just they do not believe in exploiting the interns, so depending on the work done during the course of the internship a stipend will be given .
Drafting wills, contracts, securitization application and some research . Sometimes you may be given work of which have no clue how it is to be done , RELAX “ask” any partner they are always willing to guide you through the task .
Initially I was very apprehensive to ask anything , but one of the partners saw me brooding at the file , so he came to me and explained every minute detail of the work assigned , advised me on the books I should refer , for more clarity .
Work environment, people
The work environment at ABS Legal is very pleasant and friendly, nobody will shout at you for any mistakes you make they will just ask you to rectify the mistake. I sincerely believe the people at the firm acknowledge the fact that lashing out at any intern will not get the work done .
The associates will throw you into a unknown territory, they will make you try your hands at different things so that you learn something new at the firm .
The best things AND the bad things
You will definitely get to learn something new everyday, the associates ensure that, as they keep a check on every intern. If you require anything for research latest commentaries or bare acts, you can simple approach the senior associate and the material will be on your table the next morning.
You are encouraged to attend meetings with clients, on a few occasions you will get an opportunity to deal with a client (depending on your knowledge and experience).
On the downside, the assisting staff at ABS Legal is of no help you have to look for files all by yourself .
Accommodation etc. What did you to do chill in and around the office and the place of stay?
During the lunch break I would usually visit Nirula’s or Sagar Ratna. If I had time to kill I would go to sector 18 , Great India Place .
