First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
First day we were supposed to 9 and to report the project coordinator. They asked to fill a form which had to be filled with very basic information about yourself and identity card is necessary for law students.
Its not a very big place but runs combined in basement of the two buildings. One office is in Jagdamba Camp near Malviya Nagar.
The tasks assigned to me included to teach Children. I taught them English, Hindi, Maths etc.
Filling the Excel Sheets. Powerpoint presentations etc.
Work environment and people
Its very clumsy environment as it was the summers in Delhi, when I did internship here. The people are good and children are awesome; they are confident that they will overcome all the odds and will become successful person. Every one of the staff member is very hardworking and dedicated.
They are punctual, you can get leaves here more easily. Fridays and Saturdays are mostly off for the interns else the office is open every day.
The clumsiness, as both of the places/classrooms are in basement and the mobile signals are not present all the time.
Although this was more of a volunteering thing but this internship made me a bit more conscious about the society at large specially the children and women empowerment .
