Application Process with contact details

Through mail address provided by Lawctopus.

After mailing them my resume and they reverted back after few days and asked me to join on certain date and I reverted back with yes.

Duration of internship and timings

3rd June, 2016 to 30th July, 2016

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

At first it was little unresponsive and nobody addressed me till 2 housr.

Its a basement office with no celluler signal and show wifi with less computers to work with and the market was far therefore doing lunch was difficult.

Main tasks

First task I got was a file with instruction what to do with it so I assumed I have reserch and understand the case and brief.

However after 2 days I did the briefing then they asked me to find case laws on it I did manage to find 20 case laws and showed then also he wanted more and every time I go they asked to find more.

After that I wanted to work on something else so I asked to another work then they said okay they’ll give but after a day past no body was interested in giving work, so I took the initiative and I myself start working on the case and start asking for work from other associates also and asked for court visits.

After that I did manage to expand my law understanding and knowledge, however there was no appreciation what so ever and nobody helped also in understanding something.

Work environment and people

Work environment was dull, nobody talked much to each other and after asking 3-4 times anyone do what you asked.

No appreciation was given no matter how well you do your work.

If they send us to do something they also never paid for the travel expenses.

Best things

Good things include

  1. Easy to travel and reach
  2. Flexible timing
  3. Air conditioned

Bad things

  1. Lethargic response

2. No cellular signal

3. Less computers

4. No appreciation

5. Rude behavior

6. No variation of work

No stipend

Biggest Lessons

Biggest lesson would be that one has take initiative to do something and work to learn, because for good understanding and true application is only be learnt when on internship only.

So be enthusiastic and work for learning not for sake of doing the internship as its mandatory.

I traveled from home as my home was 1 hour away from the office.

Easily commutable by metro.

Office Timings

10 am to 5 pm.

Timing was relaxed depending on the workload.
