ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The intersection of competition and intellectual property law is an important topic given developments in technology, business practices and innovation.
A recent United Nations Conference on Trade and Development report accurately outlines the gist of this critical and timely topic: The main objective of intellectual property is to encourage innovation and provide incentives for innovation by granting temporary protection to inventors.
The objective of competition policy is to promote economic efficiency and ensure that markets function effectively for the benefit of consumers by correcting market failures. The ultimate goal of both intellectual property and competition policy is to enhance economic growth and consumer welfare. However, the exercise of intellectual property rights under certain circumstances may raise competition-related concerns.
Original unpublished Research Papers/Articles and Case studies are invited from academicians/research scholars/advocates and students to be presented at the Conference. The papers will be selected after a plagiarism check (15%) using Turnitin. The abstract and full paper will undergo a double-blind peer-review process by the expert review committee before selection. The selected papers are to be presented in the Conference and it will be published as conference proceedings with ISBN.

I am an army girl! In a barbie world! Keeper of 5 dogs. On a diet for now. Sometimes I might make punctuation mistakes, but I make up for it by bringing in a crore or two extra. What's more important, a misplaced comma, or a well-placed crore?
