About the Organisation
Indian Aces started in 2014 as a self/non-funded collective of, for, and by ace (asexual) and aspec (asexual spectrum) people from/in India. Over the years, they have grown into a movement that is a multiple award-winning, and grant-winning, volunteer-led initiative, with both online and offline presence across India, and beyond.
About the Event
Unlike most other LGBT+ events, this event is not centered around speeches, or performances, or a stage and an audience setting. Instead, they will all be indulging in some mind-bending activities, playing games, and breaking ice, before the participant-listeners sit down to have a heart-to-heart with all the diverse LGBT++ story-sharers.
By the end of the event, each listener would have had the opportunity to share space with, and learn from all the identities across the spectrum.
The aim is to onboard more allies by seeing our similarities and differences that go beyond our gender and sexual identity and enable the participants to see each other as whole complete humans, regardless of which side of the fence they belong to.
The first edition of this event was successfully organized in 2018 in Delhi, to the most wonderful feedback and rave reviews!

For the Listeners
This event attempts to be your one chance to have a deeply personal conversation with strangers from the LGBTQIA+ spectrum who’re offering to share their authentic selves with you.
It’s an opportunity for you to see people as people, and hear about their lived experiences. There’s also a plethora of other components to the events that aim to shatter all related stereotypes in your mind and help you understand where they come from.
For the LGBTQIA++ Story-Sharers
You help create a safe space for ‘cis-het’, and/or questioning people to come up and talk to you about the gender/sexual identity you represent, and ask you curious questions about these difficult topics without the fear of judgment or a backlash. You enable them to see how human they all are, regardless of our gender/sexuality differences.
You will be contributing in bringing non-LGBT+ folk onboard the LGBT+ cause and develop more allies! This is also a chance for you to mark yourself as an ally to the Indian Aces (asexual) community.
Please be generous with your contributions- they go a long way in supporting our critical work towards the community and the cause.
