The IDIA (Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education) Project is a pan India movement that seeks to enhance access to quality legal education in favour of disempowered communities.[…]
We are now looking for passionate and dynamic student volunteers to lead our various state teams and catapult us to the next stage of growth.
IDIA was conceptualised as a pan-India student with minimal faculty and administration involvement from the NLUs. Law students are the backbone of the movement, with students forming and leading teams in the major states and union territories of India. IDIA is divided into the state chapters and the national verticals.
There are presently 17 state chapters and 8 national verticals.

‘The Greater Good’
Current Affairs: Applicants need to prepare a Current Affair Compendium for the period of any week from The Hindu exclusively.
You will be judged on the basis of comprehensiveness and relevance of your compendium. Your compendium exhibit your ability to separate relevant and irrelevant news from the point of view of CLAT.
Please note that online edition of the Hindu can be accessed here http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/.
Mathematics: Applicants need to send a strategy to solve CLAT 2011 Maths Section (Attached) within 10 minutes. They need to demonstrate the short-tricks that can be used for the same. See HERE
English: Please refer to the Instructions attached with this mail. See HERE
Logical Reasoning: Please refer to the instructions attached with this mail. See HERE
Legal Reasoning: We are looking to get from every applicant a set of five questions (at the very minimum) in legal reasoning in any area of law that you like (a mixture of different laws is preferable).
Remember that these are students who do not know anything about the law. We are testing for only aptitude for legal reasoning…and not for the knowledge of the law. So please do not assume any knowledge of the law…if you are using any legal concept or term, please explain its meaning in the problem itself.
The student should be able to solve the problem by simply reading the legal principle or principles and then applying them to the fact situation.
Legal aptitude is also the ability to sift through a morass of facts and to distinguish the relevant from the irrelevant. Therefore, ensure also that your problems have a bunch of relevant and irrelevant facts thrown in, the more the merrier; we’d like the students to be able to sift out necessary information.
Please find attached some sample questions framed by us for IDIA 2nd Legal Reasoning Competition. Everything there is applicable to you except the prize part. :D. See HERE
