On the first day of my office HR gave me an undertaking form to read and sign
First day, first impression
On the first day, I had a brief meeting with the associates and I was surprised to see all the young ladies in one place. They made me familiar with the working culture of the firm and what exactly was expected from me. I was introduced to each and every member and staff in the office after the induction I was assigned a proofreading work and a research work on an ongoing case the first day was very chilled out and easy going
The office no doubt was very well maintained In the workstation separate works cabins with a PC were allotted to every intern. The seniors and partners had separate cabins well-equipped and their office is just like a cherry on the cake The workplace was well equipped with everything – fridge, microwave what not. You name it and it is there. The infrastructure of the office is great and the beautiful ambience of the office is a dream internship for every law student.
Associates are very helpful. Strict adherence to hierarchy was not found. It was a very comfortable working place
The main task is to research on various laws, comparative analysis of company law of one country with another, the emerging policies etc. The most interesting thing about the office is that they not only assign the work to the intern but they make sure we are not facing any trouble during our research by giving guidance. They are very friendly and approachable at any time.
Associates won’t give the work without explaining the manner in which it is to be done. This is how I got an opportunity to learn the work practices they follow. I was assigned a task to update the status of trademarks of their clients for which one of the associates, Ms. Varsha taught me the step by step procedure of registering a trademark, which made my work easy and motivated me to work more.
I got an opportunity to get work from all the associates and at the same time, they explained how to do research, proofreading, picking up important articles updating trademarks etc.
During my internship, I got an opportunity to attend knowledgeable learning sessions which happens regularly in the firm to update themselves with present compliances of company law and other related stuff.
Finally, it gave me a good insight into the corporate world. The environment motivated me to work more, got me habituated to keeping myself updated with the laws. A highly professional law firm.
