Name of the organisation, location and duration?
I interned in Human Rights Law Network, Bhopal for duration of 4 weeks from December, 2015 to January, 2016.
Team at HRLN Bhopal
The organisation is controlled and run by only persons among whom the main head was Advocate Milind Wenkhede.
Application procedure
You can apply by sending mail at dhrm_milind@rediffmail.com and can contact Milind Sir.
Timings and working days per week?
The working days were not fixed as Sir used to go to court and work at NGO which he can’t do at the same time. Thus, he uses to call us when he remains free.
Timings were usually from morning 11 to evening 5.
Accommodation
I stayed in hostel located in MP Nagar area of Bhopal whereas the NGO was in E5 sector near 11 number bus stop.
You can also stay in E5 as many PG’s are available there.
First Day
On 14th December, 2015 Milind Sir called us to report at 11 am at the office. Unfortunately he forgot that he called us. He came late at 1 pm and we kept waiting for him for 2 hours.
Sir told about NGO, his work and how he got tangled between these too.
We also talked about various interesting topics with which NGO deals such as dalit rights, child rights etc.
Main work and Working environment
Main task given to us was newspaper volunteering and case reporting.
We made reports on cases dealing with dalits, atrocities and women rights.
Working environment could be better, as there was no one to properly teach us about making reports.
Sir gave us previous copies and asked to do the same as they have done.
Bad happenings
Work environment could be better.
