First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
This first impression which many have is always a misconception as Helpage is not an Old Age home.
It has a proper huge head office which takes care of it’s various actuaries.
Well, I must admit that I wasn’t quite impressed by their office or environment as such, but interactions with their deputy head, advocacy Mrs. Anuradha sen was quite engaging.
The major tasks I was allotted was visiting the field as field trips to different old age homes and age care centres with which they had tied up.
There was a lot to learn as I monitored different facilities which HelpAge India provided these old age homes and centres as an apex NGO.
Some of them include physiotherapy, monetary funds, counselling etc. making case briefs
Work Environment, People
The working environment is pretty amazing.
People were extremely humble and friendly.
The people in office help you out with your work if you are stuck somewhere.
The experience gained while working hard to create databases as a part of my task, that delicious tea in the evening which could really raise your spirits and get rid of your headache.
There was nothing bad as such.
What did you do to chill? Co-interns, colleagues
Well we went off somewhere everyday, all big eateries are close by, Park Street is around the corner, movie outings, and having friends there was an incentive for me.
