Name of Organisation, Location, Team Strength
Greenpeace, Pune, 20 people.
Application Process
Applying for Greenpeace was not a very difficult task I searched the contact detail from Google and then I was called down for the interview. They take interns all round the year.
Duration of internship and timings
8th May 2015 to 10th June 2015
Timings- 10 am to 4 pm
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The Greenpeace office is in a flat its not too small nor too big but the office hardly mattered to me because I was given the job of Fundraising in which I had to give presentations, convince people and ask them for donations.
The Fundraising team is divided into the groups of 3 to 4 employees with 2 or 3 interns.
Main tasks
As I already mentioned the job of fundraising which was basically the main task but as the month of June is celebrated as the Environment Month I also worked in the office for the data entry and other office works.
Work Environment, People
Really good and friendly people.
Relaxed atmosphere.
Best Things
Learning people skills.
Bad Things
The internship having little relevance to law.
Stipend
Rs 200 per day, Rs 6000 per month
Biggest Lessons
Everyone cannot afford foreign degrees or could bear the expenses of college there were some people who did not had much of a great qualification but had a good reputation in this field so the biggest lesson that I learnt was that life is not what you want but life is what you make it.
The determination and courage of the employees taught me a great lesson of endeavour and struggle and dust off the problems in every way possible.
