Gujarat National Law University is organising Foreign Law certificate course on International Investment Law.

About: The course focuses on international investment law and policies and will analyse the origins of the promotion of foreign direct investment and the protection of foreign investors, the international rules on treatment and protection, the attempt to introduce duties on multinational corporations, the settlement of investment disputes and the alternatives to protection, namely, investment insurance.

Date: March 8-18, 2017.

Resource Person: Dr. Panayotis M. Protopsaltis is a research fellow at the Centre for American Legal Studies, Birmingham City University, UK.

He studied law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, at the University of Paris II (Panthe onAssas) and at the University of Paris I (Panthe onSorbonne) from where he holds a doctoral degree in public international law.

He has conducted research and contributed to publications in the field of international investment law. In addition to his academic work he is a qualified lawyer in Greece.

Fee:  Students- 1500, Academicians- 2000, Professionals- 3000.

1. The non-refundable fees includes registration fee, tuition fee and Course kit. All participants will also be provided with the Study Material consisting of articles, reports and case laws

2. Additional charges would apply for meals.

A minimum number of 25 to a maximum of 30 Participants will be accepted on a First Come First Served Basis.
