Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar under the aegis of GUVNL Research Fellowship on ‘Energy Law and Policy’ is organizing the workshop in collaboration with Nuclear Law Association, India, and TERI University, New Delhi
Aim and Objective
The aim of the Workshop is:
To comprehend causes of nuclear accidents and incidents from a technical and regulatory perspective through the accidents in Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, Fukushima and incidents in India.
To understand the international law relating to nuclear liability, insurance and compensation and the changes that are being sought as part of modernization.
To learn the legal and policy framework on nuclear liability and compensation in India.
To know how insurance mechanisms are formulated, evolved and practiced; experiences from OECD, United States and India.
To hear the voices of stake-holders consisting of operators, suppliers, vendors and the civil society

For Non-Governmental Organizations: INR 7,000
Note: The participation fees for industry participants includes a stay at A.C. Guest House, while for others it includes a stay at our Non A.C. Guest House, both being on campus.
