Mr Francis Gurry, Director General, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will be speaking on the theme “INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND THE FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES” at an event being organized on 14th November 2018 from 2.30 to 4.30 PM by FICCI at Federation House, New Delhi.
Mr. Ramesh Abhishek, Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has also been invited to address the participants.
The world today stands at the brink of a technological revolution. The way we work, learn or live is changing rapidly. The scale and complexity of the revolution will drastically change the way the world functions. It is, therefore, important that we adapt to this 4th industrial revolution to benefit us all.
Indian companies are increasingly adapting the use of disruptive technologies e.g. industrial robots, technology-based learning tools and Artificial Intelligence, showing that India is fast catching up with the fourth industrial revolution.
While WIPO has steadfastly endeavoured to develop a productive international intellectual property (IP) system, the Indian Government has been taking initiatives to create IP awareness and an innovation culture in India.
The event will provide an insight on how the WIPO leadership and the Indian government interpret the role of IP in the evolving global order vis-a-vis the anticipated opportunities & challenges.
You are cordially invited to participate in the event and interact with the dignitaries present on the occasion.
Although participation is free, you are required to register yourself, which can be done by clicking here.
Entry in the program is strictly upon receipt of Confirmation E- Mail from FICCI.
