About the Event
The School of Law, Christ, Pune is organizing and hosting a national e-fest, ‘Feta de la Nomos’, an e-fest being held online from 16th to 27th August 2020, a celebration of law, designed to allow the students from all around the country to break free from their monotonous routines while being stuck at home, this virtual event seeks to engage and enhance the students’ skills and abilities, thereby being highly productive and enjoyable. The events are:
The Competition shall be open to all law students who are pursuing an LLB (3 or 5 years) course in any university authorized by the Bar Council of India.
The Participants shall submit a photograph of their college id/ Aadhar Card while registering for the competition.
Rooms shall be created on Cisco WebEx for the debate. The link to Cisco Webex will be sent to the participants via the email they provide during registration.
No virtual backgrounds are allowed except for solid color black or white.
All participants shall mute their audio and video outside of their turn to speak.
Mobile phones shall be silenced or kept on vibrate. Participants shall take precautions to have a quiet background during their performance.
Participants are required to send a pre-recorded video of their speech according to their topics.
The video shall not exceed 4 minutes.
The participation in The School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Fete De La Nomos National Mock Trial Competition, 2020 is restricted to 28 teams only. The first 28 teams that confirm and complete the final registration formalities as enumerated under Article 8 of the Rules of the Competition shall be entitled to participate in the said Competition.
Institutions/Teams interested in participating in the Competition will have to provisionally register by an e-mail to slcufete.lavasa[at]christuniversity.in and only after confirmation of provisional slot by the Organizers, should they go ahead with final registration formalities.
The slots shall be reserved based on a ‘first come first serve basis’. The first 24 teams through their respective Official College’ Email ID to send the duly filled Registration form (with verification email by the concerned authorities).
Only one team per College/Institution/University shall be permitted to take part in the Competition.
The teams are required to send the scanned copy of the final Registration form and proof of payment to slcufete.lavasa[at]christuniversity.in on or before 16thAugust 2020, 11:59 PM.
In a Negotiation Session, each Participating Team will be represented by no more than two eligible students with one taking the role of “Attorney” and the other taking the role of “Client”, and vice versa for the second preliminary round.
Only the first preliminary round is to be Negotiation, while the remaining rounds (second preliminary round, semi-finals, and finals) are to be Mediation Competitions.
An individual Mediation brings together performers from four different teams each representing a different institute. For each mediation session, there shall be two Co-Mediators (from two different teams), Client and Counsel of two different sides.

Debate: INR 150/-

Med- Neg: INR 350/- per member

Registrations are open till 16th August 2020.
The Mock Trial competition is to be held on the 17th,18th, and 19th of August, 2020.
The Med-Neg competition is to be held on the 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 26th of August, 2020.
The Individual Debate competition is to be held on the 25th, 26th, and 27th of August, 2020
Each participant shall be awarded a Certificate of Appreciation.
Cash prize of up to Rs. 4,000 for debate, up to Rs. 8,000 for Mock Trial and up to Rs. 11,000 for Med – Neg shall be awarded.
All the participants will be awarded e – certificates.
