ABOUT TNNLU:

Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU) was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu by an Act of State Legislature (Act No. 9 of 2012) to provide quality legal education to the students of our country at the global level.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAMME:

The five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) in International Law, organized by the Tamil Nadu National Law University, Tiruchirappalli, is designed to enhance the teaching-learning and research skills of early career researchers and academics actively engaged in the scholarship on International Law.

The aim of the FDP is to provide the participants with an opportunity to acquire knowledge about contemporary developments
that are taking place in various specialized fields of International Law. The FDP aims to deepen our understanding of modern teaching tools and methodologies that are deployed by scholars in the field of International Law.

More importantly, this interactive and inclusive programme will shed light on new, tried and tested, result-driven and impact-based methods of teaching basics of International Law and its various specialized areas by leading global experts in the field.

The ultimate goal of this FDP is to not only promote cutting-edge research in International Law but also to motivate young and passionate academics to utilise the suitable of teaching methods in their classrooms so as to train a new generation of students who are well-versed in the fundamentals of International Law and who are willing to contribute in the development of
International Law globally.

Memorial Roundtable Celebrating the Life and Work of Prof. C. H. Alexandrowicz

The Tamil Nadu National Law University, Tiruchirappalli will host a Memorial Roundtable on June 30, 2019 at its premises to celebrate the life and work of one of the most distinguished scholars in International Law, Prof. C. H. Alexandrowicz (1902– 75), who is now largely forgotten by the modern-age scholars of International Law and History.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

The FDP has been specifically designed for early-career academics, research scholars, doctoral candidates and practitioners who may be teaching or conducting research in International Law.

REGISTRATION FEE:

A Registration Fee of Rs. 3000/- (Three Thousand) is chargeable towards reading materials, food and accommodation of the participants (non-AC rooms on twin sharing basis).

A limited number of single sharing AC accommodation is also available on a first come first serve basis, for an additional payment of Rs. 3000/- (Three Thousand).

As the seats are limited, the prospective participants are requested to register for the course on early basis. A copy of payment receipt along with particulars of name, address, affiliation and current designation will need to be emailed to the FDP Coordinator indicated below.

Application for the course would be considered only after payment of registration fees. No payment shall be accepted after the last date for registration. In the event of non-selection of the applicant, the registration fee shall be refunded.
