About the Webinar

FastForward Justice is organising a Webinar on 21st Century Policing and Corruption: A Consequence or a Necessity.

In an era of tech-savvy policing and community-oriented policing, it is seen that even if the police has excelled in their ways to protect and prevent the commission of any crime and even fulfilled all the obligations they are supposed to as an organisation, but a small mistake on their part becomes like a complete deadlock for them.

Time and again police have been maligned. Their personality has been ripped off and torn apart and they have heard worse. So, in such a situation, what does a person expect to be a saint to forgive? Well, it can happen only in the Aesop’s Fables buy not in practical life. Policemen are no saints and if they are into bribery and corruption that is because the society and the government have left them with no other choice. It’s a do or die situation for them. In the wake of community policing, we should first understand what policing is all about and police personality.

Community Policing comes way beyond it. Therefore, corruption and corrupt officials are blood boiling definitely but there is another side of the story too which will be pondered upon in this discussion.
