Name of Organisation, Location city, Team Strength
Desai & Diwanji (Gurugram). They have two offices in Delhi NCR one in Gurugram and another in Delhi. The Delhi office is the litigation office and the Gurugram office is the corporate one.
I worked at the Gurugram office. The office consists strength of around 20-25 associates which includes Advocates and partners. The office is quite beautiful and creates good working environment.
The Internship Experience was very good. I got a lot of work to do in my tenure of one months.
Procedure for application
I applied through a personal contact, but one can apply by sending their resumes also to the HR Department at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The office works from Monday to Friday, but when there is some urgent work they ask the interns to come on Saturdays also which does not happen very frequently.
Office timings are from 10 am to 7 pm but when there is work associates asks interns to stay back a bit late.
First day experience
I arrived 15 minutes earlier as it was my first day and I got a form to fill with my biometric card and a notepad. In the afternoon the HR head personally introduced me with the every associate of the office. I didn’t get much work on the first day which gave me ample time to interact with other interns.
Main tasks were related to research work & Drafting. Research is most important thing in a law firm as I was assigned such researches which gave me an opportunity to learn beyond the knowledge of textbooks.
I also got various different works which includes Drafting, Briefing, Segregating document, proofreading, cross examination preparations etc.
Work Environment/ People
All that has been said about this untrue as I have been there and experienced it. All the Associates and the partners are very friendly and always helps us out in doing things. On certain days we got loads of work and some days we were free depending on the work load, hence there no work pressure which gives you ample opportunity to learn and give best results.
Everyone in the office is very good and helping and partners are also helping in nature and if you get lucky you might even get a chance to work with them. Interns sit together opposite to the associates. So we interact regularly.
There is a separate cafeteria from where everyone has lunch.
If someone wants to learn then it’s the best place, I learned a lot of stuff from this office which increased my corporate research skills to a great extent. There is Free coffee & tea also.
CYBER HUB is right around the corner so we usually went to chill there.
I live in Dwarka with my sister, so I traveled by Ola shuttle which was very convenient. You can also find a number of good hostels and pg’s nearby.
