About the MUN
CUSATMUN’19 (2nd Edition) is organised by the Department of Youth Welfare, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kalamassery, Kochi.
First edition was conducted in February 2019 and the second edition is expected to follow the success of its predecessor. The conference is to be conducted from 20th to 22nd of September,2019. We have five committees in this edition.
The five committees are UNGA- DISEC, UNHRC, AIPPM, WORLD WAR-III CRISIS COMMITTEE and INTERNATIONAL PRESS.
There is no age limit for attending the conference. Any person ranging from a student to professional can apply. The conference is dealing with the most important international issues.
The conference shall be conducted at Cochin University of Science and Technology, Main Campus, Kalamassery, Cochin-22, Kerala.
Agendas of the committee are mentioned below
UNGA – DISEC chaired by Sidhant Mukherjee and Vaishakh G Datta is based on the agenda discussing the relationship between the international drug trade and weapons trafficking.
AIPPM chaired by Rohit Santhosh and Rudraksh Gupta is supposed to critically analyse of the recent amendment bills passed by the NDA government with special emphasis on RTI, UAPA, NMC and J and K reorganization bill.
UNHRC chaired by Anindya Sidhant and Sangeeth C Shajan is about the discussion on the rights of LGBTQIA+ community.
CRISIS COMMITTEE chaired by Ayush R and Saiganesh Venkataraman will discuss on the possibility of a third world war.
