Centre for social justice (IDEAL), established in 1994, is a socio-legal prganization working on access to justice and legal empowerment.
So, what exactly is the ‘agents for change’ programme?
The ‘agents for change’ programme is an initiative directed towards harnessing the inimitable force that is our student community towards creating a positive impact on society, whilst fostering a sense of learning and sensitizing on the go.
The idea is to break the status quo of lethargy and apathy among students towards issues of social importance.
Why should you become an ‘agent for change’?
The ‘agents for change’ programme is designed as the culmination of academic knowledge, organizational skills and leadership ability, providing students with an opportunity to further enhance their personal and professional expertise while being agents for change on their respective campuses.
Also, as an organization which realizes its objectives through an intimate engagement
with grassroots realities, association with the centre for social justice provides an understanding on how legal empowerment can contribute to social change.
This is particularly useful for students looking to work in the fields of human rights, policy research, developmental governance or social justice lawyering.
What can you do as an ‘agent for change’ on Your campus?
As an ‘agent for change’, you can –
O organize social awareness events like dedicated workshops, street plays etc. on Campus.
O set up CSJ kiosks at campus events.
O write articles for the agents for change blog.
O observe important occasions on campus.
O organize quiz, debate and judgment writing competitions on campus.
O organize creativity exploration events Involving arts and crafts, photography etc. such as exhibitions to raise awareness on social issues.
O learn to exercise basic rights such as your Right to information, by filing RTIs to solve local issues etc.
O come up with innovative ideas to make this Programme a true success in fulfilling its Mandate of generating spontaneous interest In social issues among the students of today (a.K.A the leaders of tomorrow) .

So, do you want to be an ‘agent for Change’ on your campus?
Students enrolled in a full-time course from any law school in India can apply for this position.
All you need is to be someone who is–
• willing to commit at least 4 hours Per week to CSJ.
• actively involved on the campus and knows the institute’s procedures and cultures.
• possesses strong communication and presentation skills.
• active on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks.
• ideally, should be available on Whatsapp and Skype) .
