About the organisation

On 23 December 2005, the Government of India enacted the Disaster Management Act, which envisaged the creation of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), headed by the Prime Minister, and State Disaster Management Authorities (SDMAs) headed by respective Chief Ministers, to spearhead and implement a holistic and integrated approach to Disaster Management in India.

Job description

1 post of Consultant (Legal)

Initially, the consultancy will be for a period of One (1) year, extendable up to 3 years subject to a performance review on an annual basis.

The NDMA can remove the incumbent at any time and consultancy may also resign from the assignment by giving one month’s notice to the employer.


Master degree or equivalent in Law having experience of 5 years and also with experience in dealing with the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) matters.


A consolidated fee of Rs. 70,000/month.
