Duration in weeks. Days of work per week. Timings.
6 days a week. The timings were 11 am to 3 pm in the Court and then 6 pm to 9 pm in the Office.
The internship calls for sincerity and discipline with regard to the timings of the internship.
First impression, first day, formalities
We were called at the office at 10 am on the first day and from there we went to the District Court of Bhopal which is also the biggest trial court in Asia.
We accompanied Vijay Sir in the court and saw the proceedings therein and then we were called at office at 6 pm where we usually researched on the cases handled by the Firm.
Since everything was done through email, there were no formalities as such to be completed.
Experience in a Nutshell
If you plan to chill out in the scenic beauty of Bhopal along with interning at CLA, please don’t waste your time and theirs’ too.
You can surely come here if you really need to learn something about how you research cases, whats the procedure in the trial courts and you also get to visit NGT on a regular basis.
Vijay Sir being a very busy personality, do not assign much work to the interns but the firm is managed by his son Mr. Vivek Choudhary.
You may not like him at first, but if you’re maintaining the discipline with the working hours and the task given to you, you’re enjoying it there.
Being an NLIU grad, Vivek sir is much aware of how to make things work and when it comes to work he’s stricter and stringent than anyone else could be, but at the same time he can be a good friend, a good guide and a humorous chap.
I’d just say that if you love to research and you want to know things in different fields of law, this place is for you provided that you have enough zeal to learn new skills.
Also, you’ll love to hear that you get a handsome stipend here based on the duration of the internship program and the quality of your work.
You may sometimes feel like leaving the internship but if you can cope up with the stern attitude then you will definitely enjoy your internship and will learn a lot regarding the court procedures, drafting as well as researching for the cases.
Accommodation and Places to chill
I stayed at my home but there are many hostels and pg’s in Bhopal and DB Mall is nearby the Court ans the office both where you can get all the big food chains and enjoy a good time there.
