As it is said if finance is the life and blood of any organisation then human resource is the heart and soul of the organisation, same goes with this firm. A very homely environment where you would love to attend office regularly.
But as it is said in Law Profession no one will teach you personally for what so ever duration you may join anywhere. You will have to learn by yourself by observing people. Choudhury Law Offices has a good client base and deals with Corporate and Arbitration matters.
Most of the time Interns use to stay in the court. If you have some knowledge, then only interning here can help you because the associates themselves are so much busy that hardly they can teach you anything new.
As I was pursing Company Secretaryship (CS) course also so grasping the aspects of Corporate laws and matters related to Insolvency, Bankruptcy was not very tough for me since the firm deals with most of such cases where you will get to learn many things if you show your interest.
When it comes to guidance then they are the best people who will guide you in the best possible way. Ajay Sir, possesses a good experience in Corporate Laws, Securities Law and guide the interns in the best possible way but only on Saturdays as because work pressure is too much and interns join for a short span of time so it is very difficult to manage client and interns simultaneously. But sir guides there interns in the best possible way
Accommodation, commute, etc.
I reside in Kolkata so accomodation was not a problem for me but those who wish to intern here and stay in Kolkata for Internship then one can easily get paying guest accomodation in Girish Park area, Central Avenue area very near to office at a very reasonable rate.
The best part of Kolkata is that best food and shelter is easily available at a very reasonable rate and the people of Kolkata are really very sweet and of helping nature. Vishwas na ho toh ajma lo dost:-)
Disclaimer: Internship experiences are opinions shared by individual law students and tend to be personal and subjective in nature. The internship experiences shared on Lawctopus are NOT Lawctopus official views on the internship.
