Protik Sir’s office is situated in Creek Lane, Kolkata. One has to search a bit before he can reach his Chamber, as its located in a narrow lane inside Creek Lane.
Google Maps shows the location of this office HERE.
Protik sir has an in-house chamber. As you enter, you can very well make out that its a lawyer’s office. You will find a pile of books in every corner.
After a formal introduction with all the interns, he assigned me and my team of 5 students research work related to his latest case, which was quite interesting and challenging for all of us.
I was asked to research on matters relating to Arbitration, The Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, National Green Tribunal, et al. All these were mostly related to his cases.
My fellow interns and I were even asked to prepare list of important dates and information relating to various cases.
Protik Sir always used to call us inside his chamber, where he used to draft petitions. He even explained the ways and process during the time, and we also attended a number of client meetings with him in his chamber, which was an amazing experience for all of us.
Work environment is very calm and peaceful. Even his juniors are very helpful and used to guide us during our research and other tasks. The best thing is that everyone is treated equally.
One should not disturb Sir when he is drafting as he can become very angry. So is the case when the work assigned is not done correctly.
It was a wonderful and knowledgeable internship. It was always an experience to watch Protik da draft legal documents with ease.
Altogether a chilled out environment used to prevail in his chamber.
There are no such bad things about the internship.
None, But received a pen on my last day of internship, and picture with a great litigator, which is more than a stipend
There is no shortcut to hard work and one can easily make out an example in Protik Sir.
He is a living example of a successful Lawyer and a great person, which makes him different in all aspects.
