Centre for Social Justice’s ‘Exposure Trip’ on Socio-Legal Issues; Bhubaneshwar to Vishakhapatnam [June 1-13]; Apply by May 20

Centre for Social Justice is organizing a 13 day exposure trip to Andhra Pradesh and Odisha for people interested in getting a first hand exposure on various socio-legal issues and organizations working on such issues.
The main objective of this exposure programme is to help the participants understand law in practice on ground to tackle various socio – legal issues faced by people, particularly the marginalized communities facilitated by different individuals, organizations, campaigns and movements.
It will also help the participants understand their own selves better and see how social norms and patterns have impacted them individually.
The exposure trip will start from Bhubaneshwar on 1st June, 2013 and end at Vishakhapatnam on 13th June. During the trip, participants will visit organisations working on rights of dalits, adivasis, women and other vulnerable groups.
The programme provides an excellent opportunity to students who are currently pursuing a degree in law and young lawyers interested in working on human rights issues to take gain a first hand experience of socio-legal issues at the grassroots.
A nominal contribution of Rs. 2000 will be charged from participants for the trip. Those unable to pay may seek waiver.
