The Sarai Programme, Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, Delhi, invites proposals from individuals for research projects on contemporary social and digital media, its ecologies and histories. Research is supported by a project grant from the Indian Council of Social Science Research.
For interns other than from Delhi (NCR) will be paid an amount of Rs. 8000/- (Rupees Eight Thousand only) as stipend. Students from Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) will be paid Rs. 4,000/- (Four Thousand only) as stipend.
It provides interns with valuable training in areas of research, analysis, writing, and above all critical thinking. Interns study various agencies, boards, corporations, departments, schemes and programs of the state governments and Municipal Corporations; evaluating existing systems to recommend sustainable and long-term policy improvements in the functioning of government structures.
Interns are required to work on each of the above area. The internship will involve:
i) meeting and interviewing persons involved in each area, and
ii) preparation of a detailed report on the findings.
