The Journal of Legal Studies is making a call for papers, articles, and case comments for its Issues I & II, January & July 2022 of Volume 10.

About the Journal

The Journal of Legal Studies (ISSN: 2321-1059 only Print) is an International Refereed Peer-Reviewed Journal of Legal Studies published biannually in the months of January and July. The Journal focused on gathering knowledge on the different issues of Law.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Executive Editor & Managing Director, Journal of Legal Studies shall be the sole copyright owner of all the published material. No part of this Journal may be used in any form whatsoever without prior written permission from the publisher.

Papers are processed through a blind referral system by experts in concerned subjects. To ensure anonymity in reviewing the papers, the name of the author, co-author, designation, address, contact number, e-mail, and title of the paper should appear only on the first page of the paper.

The Journal welcomes and encourages original legal research papers and articles. Except for the calling for paper, the most valuable and suggestive comments of all the readers are always awaited and welcomed in order to achieve the ultimate goal.


In this regard, the Journal of Legal Studies is making a call for papers from academicians, lawyers, and students for its Issues I & II, January & July 2022 of Volume 10.


In this volume, the Executive Editor & Managing Director wants to focus on Personal laws:

  1. Evolution of the institution of marriage and family
  2. Ceremonies under different Personal Laws
  3. Essentials of Marriage under different Personal Laws
  4. Concepts and theories related to Divorce under different Personal Laws
  5. Nullity of Marriage under different Personal Laws
  6. Judicial Separation under different Personal Laws
  7. Alimony under different personal Laws
  8. Custody of Children under different Personal Laws
  9. Intestate Succession of Parsis
  10. Intestate Succession other than Parsis
  11. Live-in Relationship vis-à-vis Marriage
  12. Uniform Civil Code: Problem and Prospects
  13. Sologamy
  14. Working Women and Spousal Relationship
  15. The Special Marriage Act, 1954
  16. Any other topic relating to personal laws.  

Submission Categories

  1. Research Paper: 3000-5000 words
  2. Article: 2000-3000 words
  3. Short Note & Case Comments: 1500-2000 words

Submission Guidelines

  1. All submissions are to be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words and a minimum of 5 keywords.
  2. Main body A-4 size paper 11 pt. font Size in Times New Roman Font in single space.
  3. Submissions on any contemporary law and human rights issue will be accepted.
  4. Co-authorship is allowed for a maximum of 2 authors.
  5. The first page of the manuscript must consist only of the name of the author(s), his/her institutional affiliation, and contact details.
  6. All submissions are to be sent as an MS Word document.
  7. Formatting: Times New Roman, font size 11, 1.0-line spacing, and justified alignment. 
  8. Footnotes: Times New Roman, font size 09. 
  9. Citations must strictly conform to the standards laid down in Bluebook 21st edition.
  10. The body of the mail must specify the type of manuscript.
  11. Plagiarized work will not be entertained. 


  • There will be no publication charges for the publication.
  • The journal will be published in print mode only in the month of September 2022.
