We are pleased to invite your contributions for the 2nd Issue of Human Rights Law Journal in the form of articles, case comments, legislative comments and book reviews.
The journal aims to focus on the contemporary developments in the human rights field and is keen on developing serious academic legal writing.
The purpose of this issue of the journal is to provide our readers with information on recent developments affecting specific prejudices and bias faced by marginalised people not faced by other sections of society.
The 2nd issue of our Human Rights Law Journal will focus on the three dominant discourses on the human rights of marginalised people:
Gender Justice and Human Rights
Human Rights of Tribals and Indigenous People
Human Rights and Racial Discrimination
Authors may refer to the sub-themes provided in the notification.
Guidelines pertaining to the Structure of the Journal
Categories of Submissions
With regard to the categories of submissions, the categories and the word limit for the same, is as mentioned below-
Articles: 6000 words excluding footnotes
Case Comments/Legislative Comments: 3500 words excluding footnotes
Book reviews: 2500 words excluding footnotes
Abstract: 300 words
Citation and formatting
The authors must follow the OSCOLA citation method for the footnotes. The article must be formatted in the following style-
Main body: Font – Times New Roman, Size – 12, Line spacing – 1.5.
Footnotes : Font – Calibri , Size – 10, Line Spacing- Single.
Abstract and Declaration
The submissions must include an abstract pertaining to the topic which should not be more than 300 words.
Additionally the authors must also attach a declaration, stating that their work is original to the best of their knowledge, with all the relevant sources having been duly mentioned in the footnotes.
Submissions will be evaluated subject to a plagiarism check.
While co-authorship is permitted, the number of co-authors should not exceed two. The submission must be mailed to us in a .docx or .doc format.
