Journal on Contemporary Socio-Legal Issues (JCSL) is a student-edited peer reviewed interdisciplinary journal published by the JCSL Team.
The Journal is expected to be a platform for the academicians and other experts from the legal fraternity to present their ideas.
The Journal aims at addressing the current issues at hand in the areas of corporate law, media law etc and promote awareness among all, starting from legal professionals to layman.

The journal aims to encourage research and writing focused on the theme “Contemporary Socio-Legal issues”, the definition of which is broader than just realms of law.
It promotes research, drawing the quintessential of various theoretical bases, research methodologies and disciplines and tries to ensure a diverse method of simulating critical thinking and to illuminate ideas.
The broad theme of would comprise of subjects like:

Editorial Board and its Role :
Regarding the functioning of the JCSL, we hereby inform about the operation of two parallel teams, the Student team (JST Team) and the expert team (JCSL Editorial Board), the latter comprising of incumbent and retired justices of both High Court and Supreme Court, illustrious Advocates, Professors, Assistant Professors, Members of Parliament and other luminaries in the field of Law.
The role of it is to guide the Student team by commenting on articles and papers blue-ribboned by the student team while also making additional contributions through guest articles.
Policy and Procedure :
The Journal would welcome submissions from laws students, lawyers, as well as academicians. Keeping in the mind the view to encourage interdisciplinary learning, it also welcomes submissions from experts from other disciplines as well.
JCSL contains sections devoted to recent legislation and reports, case analysis, articles and Short Research Papers. In order to retain the author’s style throughout the editing process, authors should submit fully-cited works conforming to the submission guidelines.
The submissions are carefully reviewed subject to triple review process by JCSL Student Editorial Team in order to ensure its quality. In addition to this, each article would be peer-reviewed by academicians and other experts of the Editorial Board. The write-ups will then be published subject to certification as original and of publishable quality.
The comments and reservations would be sent to the authors before sending their works into publication.
Articles, Short Articles, Case analysis, Book Reviews :
The JCSL would accept submission in the form of:
Articles are academic writings which discuss and analyze original legal issue and problem. JCSL considers Article submissions of 4500-6000 words, excluding footnotes
Short articles are those which advance an idea or initiates analytical discussion. JCSL considers papers of length 3000-3500 words, exclusive of footnotes
Case Analysis and Book Review can be submitted on any legal or policy development the length of which shall conform to not exceeding 2500 words
The journal shall publish only those works which are of original nature. Manuscripts are acceptable for publication on the understanding that their contents, all or part of it, have not been published elsewhere. Every contribution shall be author’s own unique work and shall not constitute plagiarized works.
