Forum for the Promotion of Research in the Social Sciences, a registered trust under the Delhi government governed by a Board of Trustees comprising of students and academicians like Dr. Mufti Mushtaq Tijarvi, Associate Professor, Jamia Milia Ismalia and a renowned Sufi Scholar and Mr. Vikas Tripathi, PhD Scholar at Jawahar Lal Nehru University and headed by Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Co-Director of the Lokniti Programme at the Centre for Study of Developing Societies invites papers from students and young researchers for its interdisciplinary social sciences journal being launched in association with the National Museum Institute of India.

The journal will be an interdisciplinary social sciences journal covering Political Science, Sociology, Literature, History, Art, Culture, Economics and Law.

The journal welcomes article submissions on a wide range of issues and themes with a central focus on Social Sciences research.

The submission guidelines are designed to make the process easier for both the authors and the publishers. Submissions that adhere to the guidelines will likely be given more consideration and have a greater chance of getting published.

Submission Guidelines

Submission can be of two types – Commentary/Opinion/Review Articles (1200 – 3500 words) and Essays and Special articles (3500 – 5500).

That being said the length of the article is negotiable so long as they are well researched, properly referenced and coherently argued.

Embedded links are recommended for news and opinion pieces, footnotes for more scholarly articles. For referencing, authors should preferably follow the APA style.

Articles will carefully reviewed before publication by the editorial board of the Journal comprising of students and senior academicians.

The journal follows a strict policy with respect to plagiarism.

All submissions should be original and should not be simultaneously considered by any other publication. Submissions are accepted for publication on the condition that they do not infringe the copyright or any other rights of any third parties and that the work does not contain any obscene, offensive, defamatory, or racially prejudiced material.

As a condition of publication, the authors grant the journal an irrevocable, transferable, non-exclusive, royalty-free right and licence to reproduce, publish and distribute their submission(s) in all media including but not limited to print and any electronic services. The licence is granted for the duration of the subsistence of the copyright, including any extensions and/or renewals

Students are requested to mail their abstracts along with a brief note mentioning their college, course and previous publications/conferences and/or research experience to- with the subject of the mail as “Submission – ‘Name’” in Word format (.doc or .docx) latest by 30th October 2012.

The deadline for the submission of the articles will be notified to them after the submission of the abstract.
