Call for Blogs: Vox Populi: Rolling Submissions

About the Institute

Vox Populi a non-profit blog seeks to publish articles that are well researched, original, and contribute to legal reform. The founders of Vox Populi aim to contribute all earnings from this blog to NGOs that specialize in children’s rights, women’s rights, legal aid, animal rights, etc.


The blog does not intend to limit any author’s scope of research and articles related to any contemporary social or legal issue may be submitted. Articles focused on social issues and law reform are encouraged.


Any person from the legal fraternity, including students presently enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate courses of law are eligible for submitting their original work for publication on the blog. Students enrolled in journalism, economics or any other social science course are also welcomed to submit their articles.

Nature of Submission

Articles in the nature of case analysis, legislative analysis, policy analysis, book review, movie review, opinion editorials, and any other short article on a contemporary social or legal issue may be submitted.

Formatting Guidelines

  • Font Style: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12
  • Line Spacing: 1.5 pt
  • Alignment: Justified
  • References: Uniform Footnotes or Endnotes
  • Margins: 2.54 cm from all sides

Submission Guidelines

  • The article must be an original and unpublished work of the author(s).
  • The article must not exceed 2000 words, exclusive of endnotes. The word count may be relaxed at the discretion of the editors if the subject and the scope of research warrants the same.
  • The blog has a strict policy against plagiarism. Any article with plagiarism more than 15% will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • There is no last date for submissions. All submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.
  • Co-authorship is permitted to a maximum of 2 authors. The authors can belong to different institutions.

  • Submission should be made only in .docx/.doc format
  • The name of the file must be the exact title of the article. Due to our non-disclosure policy, all authors are requested not to mention their names or any other personal details anywhere in the document sent to us.
  • The name of the author/s must be clearly mentioned in the body of the email along with the institution they are affiliated to, year of study, the course pursued by them and their contact number.
  • Articles with ONE descriptive photo are encouraged.
  • References should be uniform throughout the article.

Vox Populi will be charging Rs. 50 as a publication fee in order to create a medium that would assist in spreading knowledge about various social causes.

This amount will be donated entirely to an NGO named MAD – Make a Difference, a 14-year-old NGO that works towards ensuring better outcomes for children in orphanages and shelters across India.


A Certificate of Publication will be awarded to all authors whose articles get published on the blog.
