Desh Bhagat University is publishing an edited book under the title “A Strategic Planning on Research and Publication Ethics” and is making a call for chapters for the same.

About the Book

An edited book under the title “A Strategic Planning on Research and Publication Ethics” a vision for healthier research powered by valuable research and publication ethics is going to be published by Desh Bhagat University. The edited book aims to develop knowledge about the research and publication of Ethics. 

Research and publication ethics are crucial not only for performing research but also for publishing it. It is one of the most important pillars of scientific credibility and honesty. Fair practices must be implemented by academics, universities/institutions, and publications. 

The book shall give graduate students and early-stage researchers with concise yet comprehensive resources. We’ve found some common areas where researchers have doubts and difficulties. We’ve discussed how to assign authorship, how to avoid image alteration and plagiarism, how to successfully manage research data, and how to identify conflicts of interest,  among other issues. This book will provide you with plenty of advice on how to deal with any circumstance like this. 

Scholars in the modern era are frequently confronted with regulations/guidelines developed for academics by various statutory bodies/institutions. It is up to the students to deal with it and maintain an optimal learning speed. The book’s concept evolved in response to the scholar’s queries about the  Ph.D. process. As a result, this book took shape while keeping all of the scholars’ quarries/ideas in mind. 

The book provides a quick review of research methods and statistical approaches, as well as practical thumb rules and recommendations.

Eligibility

Accordingly, academicians and research scholars from various disciplines of Social Sciences and Humanities including Law, Medicine, Sociology, Social Work, Economics, Education, Geography, History, Human resources, Organization Behavior, Organizational Psychology, Philosophy, Political Science, Public Administration, Corporate  Governance, etc. are encouraged to send the manuscripts for publication.

Formatting Guidelines

• Manuscripts: All manuscripts must be in letter quality (font size 12) in double space with margins of at least one inch on all sides. Cover page: Manuscripts of a paper should have a cover page providing:
  • Title of the Paper
  • The name(s)
  • Address
  • Phone
  • Email
  • Subject to be published under
  • Keywords for the paper 
• Abstract: Following the cover page, there should be an ‘abstract’ page, which should contain:
  • The title of the paper
  • The subtitle “Abstract” and a summary of the paper in double space
  • Should not exceed 150 words
  • Along with three to four keywords.
• The text of the paper should not start on this page but on a fresh page.
• The References/ citation style in the Chapters and submitted for publication shall conform with the ILI Rules of footnoting available here.
• Figures & Tables: Each figure/table should be numbered, and titled. Length of the paper: The total length of the paper should be 4000-6000 words (including abstract, table, chart, reference, etc).
