About NILS India
NILS, India is the official Chapter for NILS in India. The Network for International Law Students (NILS) is an international, independent, non-political, non-profit organisation, run by and for law students.
It seeks to promote legal awareness among all the people and encourage communication and cooperation among law students and lawyers internationally; contribute to legal education; promote social responsibility in the field of law; increase opportunities for students to learn about other cultures and legal systems worldwide, and publicize educational and career opportunities in law.
NILS India functions through local chapters. Every local chapter of the Network for International Law Students functions under the aegis of the National Board.
The local chapters are proposed to be established for every state with such modifications as may be necessary to ensure representation and feasibility.
Every local chapter shall comprise of the following positions
- Vice-President (Advocacy)
- Vice-President (Competition)
- Vice-President (Events)
- Vice-President (Marketing)
- Vice-President (Traineeships)
Every application shall be considered for all positions and shall be evaluated. Depending upon applications received, there may be a second round of selection viz. a telephonic interview before the selected list of candidates is published.
- Last date for submission of applications – March 25, 2019
- Telephonic Interviews (if applicable) – March 28-30, 2019
- The release of Final List on NILS India website – April 1, 2019
