Call for Applications for Local Chapters – NILS India (Network for International Law Students): Apply by April 10

The Network for International Law Students is an international, independent, non-political, non-profit organisation, run by and for law students.

It seeks to promote legal awareness among all people, and encourage communication and cooperation among law students and lawyers internationally; contribute to legal education; promote social responsibility in the field of law; increase opportunities for students to learn about other cultures and legal systems worldwide; and publicize educational and career opportunities in law.

NILS India is one of the many chapters of the international community that belongs to NILS.

It is an independent, non-political, non-profit organization with an aim to promote, establish and develop mutual understanding, and a cordial relationship between law students and lawyers across the country, thereby equipping them for professional life in an international, dynamic and competitive legal environment.

It shall also serve to be an international networking platform for law students.

NILS India is looking to commence local chapters in various cities in India.

Any group of students from the same city in India can establish a Local Chapter of NILS and thus become a member provided that they are pursuing their education at an educational institution offering courses that enable the students enrolled thereto to enter a kind of legal profession.

The education shall contain a substantial amount of law, thus enabling students to carry out the aims of NILS India.

In pursuance of this, we are calling for applications from law students who wish to begin a chapter in their city.

A limited number of applications will be admitted, and only the accepted applicants will be informed of the same within a month.
