Adv. Fuzail Ahmad Ayyubi, Advocate on Record, Supreme Court of India.
A renowned lawyer in the Supreme Court of India, dealing with both civil and criminal cases.
Duration of the Internship
4 weeks (2nd July 2018-31st July 2018)
I applied directly to Fuzail sir and received the confirmation. If one wishes to apply he can mail his CV directly to Fuzail Sir at [email protected] or to Ms. Aditi Gupta at [email protected]
Initially interns are asked to research on different laws pertaining to the cases on which the associates are working and they are also required to do translation & typing of annexures as well as assisting associates in drafting of SLP’s, WP’s, filing cases & curing defects, attending client conferences, preparing case briefs, proof-reading various types of documents etc.
Sir taught us legal drafting, editing, case briefing and legal research. He explained us the basic filing procedure. He gave us cases to read and research on. He took us to client meetings and everything he was engaged in at the present time.
He made us prepare case notes and involved us in evidence research as well. Since he is a well renowned name in this field he had a lot of work but he never burdened us with anything.
Fuzail sir is very thoughtful and a genius person. Not only he corrected me where I was wrong, but also explained and taught me every work he assigned. He was helpful and lenient and strict where he has to. He introduced us as his juniors and not interns to everyone we met. This was the best internship experience ever.
If you really want practical exposure and a rich learning experience he is the best person to teach you and face you to the ground realities of this profession. If you have interest in litigation you MUST intern with him once for a rich experience.
The other best thing about the office is the associates of ALP. The associates are more like friends then mentors. They thought me the basics of filing a case and other important aspects.
The Best Things
This is as I have already mentioned a rich learning experience and a MUST internship for those interested in litigation. His style of working and helping and guiding us with the work he assigned us was an amazing experience. He taught us the importance of a good lawyer in a society and the professional ethics of this field.
No stipend as such, but various treats in the due course of our internship.
