About the Moot

Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh announces “A.U.M.P. National Moot Court Competition 2018” that will be held at Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior from 06th-07th September 2018.

The principal objective of the “A.U.M.P. National Moot Court Competition 2018” is to develop an increased awareness and interest in curbing Terrorism which is seen as a Draconian evil to the Republic of India from its inception.

Amity Law School is holding National Moot Court Competition on an issue affecting the entire international community especially our country. There could not be any other relevant topic than the “Terrorism”. In recent times, it has gained global prevalence.

The genesis of all types of terrorism is an erratic, irresponsible, senseless and fanatic behaviour of humans. It aims at the destruction of human rights, democracies and the rule of law. All the States have the legal and moral obligation and duty to protect the individuals within their jurisdiction from the terrorist attacks while upholding the human rights of innocent persons.

The aim of holding Moot Court on this issue is to sensitize the environment about the menace of terrorism, steps required to combat it effectively and the legal issues related to it. It is the onerous duty of legal fraternity to help in combating terrorism. If perpetrators of terrorism are brought to justice and anti-terrorism laws are implemented adequately and vigorously, it will go a long way in combating terrorism.
