First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

First impression was normal. Just a regular busy workplace.

Professionals all around joking now and then in between with each other.

No big formalities were done by me as such.

Main tasks

To search case laws, read briefs, draft petitions, type computerised petitions and attend miscellaneous client meetings.

Work environment and people

The work environment was pretty relaxed and fun as compared to other strict prosecutors offices, the other juniors were mostly helpful and friendly.

Mr. Tamal Kanti Mukherjee was a superior teacher figure who stepped forward to teach and to provide with any knowledge whenever needed.

Working with him and his associates was mostly fun and less monotonous.

Best things

The “learn to draft a petition” phases, the friendly conversations with each others.

Working on Sunday mornings.

Listening to court hearing at particular intervals.

Bad things

No negativeness. All valuable lessons.

No stipend. Just a work experience and a lot of things to learn.

Biggest Lessons

Work is god. That is for sure.

A little discipline a little dedication and a little professionalism can make you establish wonders.

Any Other Thing

Always be the hardest worker in the room.
