Name of Organisation, Location:
Chambers of Advocate PS Sekhon and Advocate LS Sekhon, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.
Application Process with contact details:
I submitted my CV. One can simply apply by sending their resume.
Duration of internship:
I have interned for 5 months.
The internship involves court visit during the day and at his office in the evening.
The timings are flexible however the more you spend at his office, the more you learn.
First impression, First-day formalities etc:
I was asked to come directly to the court where I saw Sekhon sir arguing and I was really impressed by his knowledge and oratory skills. Later, we came to the office which was quite clean and comfortable.
There were multiple tasks like researching on various cases, finding the most suitable case laws, filling of the cases, drafting various applications, making notes of the cases.
If you are someone who is keen to learn then trust me you will find everything great here. Every conversation here makes you learn.
You are free to ask as many legal questions from sir and moreover, he gives you some additional information regarding the questions asked which I consider is a brownie.
Sir and the associates really care about you and always give an atmosphere of humor so that one may not get bored.
Work environment and people:
The office is brimming with good humor which automatically puts newbies at ease. Sir is too caring and asks to join him at lunch and in various ceremonies being conducted.
Personally speaking, my perception regarding how laws are to be read changed a lot.
I learned how to give a more comprehensive approach towards the laws and was able to relate with the practical experience I had while interning there.
