First Impression, First-Day Formalities
On my first day, I reported at 10:00 Am and his secretary took me to my desk. After 10 minutes Ankit sir has allotted me research work. Thereafter in the evening, I got a chance to interact with Ankit sir. He is very warm and forthcoming. He asked me about my college and my area of interest. Later his secretary took my details and college id for record purposes.
Ankit sir is expertise in diverse fields, including commercial and contract law, Consumer law, Insolvency law, Arbitration and many more. He appears before the Supreme court, the high court of Delhi, Punjab and Haryana high court and various tribunals such as NCLT, NCLAT, DRAT, NCDRC.
The main task is to read the bulky case files and at the end of the day, Ankit sir call the intern in his cabin and discuss the case in detail. Sir expects quality work from his interns. The work was assigned to me was mostly research-based and making notes of the cases. There was never a time one could be free because the work was regularly allotted to interns.
Interns were required to assist in different cases. Usually, I undertook case law from SCC Manupatra and LexisNexis etc. if you get lucky you will get to attend the conference with Mr. Manoj Swarup Senior Advocate.
If you are keen to learn then trust me you will find everything great here. Every conversation with sir makes you learn something new. You are free to seek as many clarifications as to grasp the problem better.
No bad thing as such.
