Personal approach.

Duration of Internship and timings

July 2016

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

The infrastructure seemed good but space of the chamber is really compact.

Main tasks

Observing court proceedings.

Doing legal research.

Work environment and people

A very friendly work environment. People are very friendly and they’re really helpful and hardworking. They guided me a lot and helped me fill the loopholes during proceedings.

Best things

I was working under a NDPS lawyer. They major in narco cases. So that was really exciting to see the entire proceedings and how we got to experience the Cross examining.

In fact sir would give me cases and used to ask me my observations and what conclusions I have drawn or how is this law applicable etc

Bad things

Nothing really apart from the fact that the the judge of NDPS court could not be present for those 10 days or so and because of that I missed out a lot.

Biggest Lessons

On one of the days I was asked by senior to go present a case on his behalf bcz his presence was required somewhere else and that I actually did that . He actually helped me develop confidence to stand in front of a judge and present my case without my senior beside me.

Another was when we were discussing a fresh case regarding some insurance thing and he kind of pushed me to talk to the representative lawyer of the client regarding the issues that we formed
